Guwahati: Union Information and Broadcasting Minister M. Venkaiah Naidu has said that the main path for advancement of the North-east is peace and fear mongering and Insurgency are hostile to improvement.
"This would supplement the Government`s Act East Policy propelled by Prime Minister Narendra Modi a year ago as it would encourage the sustaining of ability in the field of Media and Entertainment," he included.
Naidu said the proposed Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) in Arunachal Pradesh and the setting up of perpetual grounds of Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC) at Aizawal would give quality preparing to the youthful populace taking into account their requirements and yearnings along these lines going about as Talent Creators and ability center points in the locale.
The Minister expressed this while leading Review Meeting of Programs and Policies in North East with the officers of the Ministry in Guwahati today.
Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal, senior authorities of the Ministry alongside officers of the North Eastern Region were available on the event.
